The patients we are treating are older with increasingly high number of issues with their general health. Save treatment of these patients requires recognition of the medical conditions and knowledge about how to manage them. This is particularly important as implant dentistry is elective treatment. Being challenged by clinical case scenarios, where numerous examples of systemically compromised patients need to be resolved, is a most effective way of learning. This well established method of thinking through the management of patients with numerous co-morbidities is most likely to result in absorbing issues for effective recall for application in practice.
