The next PID implant training programme will start in March 2020. It will cover 12 hands-on modules (usually Friday/Saturday) over 18 months. Modules will be based in Yorkshire with visits to the University of Tübingen (Germany) and the Manchester Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre for anatomical dissection and surgical simulation.
In addition, on a Thursday prior to each Module (Friday and Saturday) clinical demonstrations are carried out as well as treatment of patients by the course participants under the guidance of the directors.
An additional day is provided once a week for clinical training (mentoring) of participants who will treat patients for all aspects of implant dentistry.
All clinical cases involve recruitment, assessment and treatment planning, consent and surgical as well as restorative phases of treatment. Monitoring is also carried out by the course participants.
To facilitate this, a free Simplant licence is provided for all participants during the duration of this course.
Online registration is open. The fee for the programme will be £18,000 for participants that register and want to pay in installments. A discounted rate of £16,000 will be available for participants that register and pay the total fees upfront - via online bank transfer (£1000 on completion of the registration process to secure your place and the balance of the fees by the end of
February 2020).
More information about dates, venue, content, etc. is available online.
